Autobiography

I was born in Detroit;
Now I live in Japan.
My ma was a coupe,
My pa, a sedan.
They ran on gas from
The day they were born;
I could do batteries,
Sawgrass, or corn.
Grandad, the flivver,
Was widely adored.
Folks could afford him
Cuz he was a Ford.
He was a novelty.
They were a need.
I am a danger...
It's widely agreed...
To the environment,
Earth, air, and sea.
The planet is strangling
Thanks largely to me.
My strength is my weakness,
Greek tragedy's law,
Where success is the failure,
Perfection the flaw.
