Bee

My garden plot
Is work-intensive.
It takes a lot
Of comprehensive
Tools and catalogues
And planning,
Labeled rows and
Measured planting,
Tying up and
Staking down,
Running back and
Forth to town,
Hoeing, pruning,
Wat'ring, weeding,
Grubbing till my
Nubs are bleeding.
Then a busy bee
A-bumbling,
Drops into my
Garden humming,
From daffodil to
Daisy skipping,
Honeysuckle
Honey-sipping,
Unhurried still
Unhesitating
On his path of
Pollinating,
Gifted gard'ner
As he feeds
Making autumn
Fruit and seeds,
A symphony of
Symbiosis
Musicking among
The roses.
Very humbling
To be seeing,
How I'm bumbling,
While he's beeing.
